Job Overview

As a house builder, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, working closely with architects, project managers, and other tradespeople to create homes that meet our clients’ needs. This position requires both physical and technical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct residential homes from start to finish, complying with all building codes and regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of structures.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, siding, and drywall.
• Perform demolition work and manage site cleanup to prepare for new construction.
• Collaborate with various subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project progress.
• Assist in the training and mentorship of junior team members as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this house builder job, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree or certification in construction management or a related field is a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, techniques, and safety standards.
• Ability to operate construction tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Good physical condition and endurance, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
